What changed, and when

Recent desktop releases for Windows and macOS, newest first. Windows updates arrive through the Microsoft Store.

Ratio tool and more practical brush gestures

  • Ratio tool: the Ruler becomes Ratio. Draw a first line as your reference, and every other line shows its length compared with it, such as 0.80, so you can compare proportions on any photo without a scale. Make any line the reference, and choose the text size and the two line colours, which are remembered.
  • Grow, Shrink and Rotate by dragging: click for one step as before, or hold the button and drag up or down (left or right to rotate) to set the amount smoothly. Drag back to reduce it.
  • Right mouse button: with Grow, Shrink or Rotate, the right button applies the opposite effect, so you no longer need to switch tools. With Push, hold the right button and drag to grow, shrink or rotate in place.
  • Straight lines with Shift: hold Shift while you push, or while you draw a line or ratio line, to keep it perfectly vertical or horizontal.
  • A gesture helper in the app: if a gesture isn't clear, select the brush: its Mouse controls card in the side panel shows each gesture with a small picture of the mouse and what it does. Help > Shortcuts also lists them all.
  • Live values: while you reshape, the brush shows the size change, the angle or how far Push has moved the image. You can turn the values off, or hide the brush circle while you work.
  • Select without changing tool: double-click any drawing or measurement to select it, then move it or drag its handles, and carry on with the tool you were using.
  • Help at hand: help buttons on every screen and next to each tool open the matching guide in the online documentation.
  • AI Edit: the first screen now says when AI Edit sends data and links to our image policy. Teeth whitening and veneers ask you to paint the whole mouth, just past the lips.
  • Smoother and more reliable: a shorter pause when you release a large brush stroke, keyboard shortcuts that keep working after you type a brush size, and buttons that stay in view on small screens.

AI Edit, Measure, Rotate and image adjustments

  • AI Edit: simulate procedures that reshaping can't, including upper eyelid and under-eye bag surgery, Asian upper eyelid surgery, lower facelift, lower face and neck lift, upper face Botox package, hair transplant, teeth whitening, veneers and eye colour. Paid per use with AI credits; every licence includes $1 of free credits. Learn more.
  • Measure: new Angle and Ruler tools show degrees and distances on the photo, in every saved, printed and shared image.
  • Rotate Left and Rotate Right: two new reshaping brushes turn a feature without changing its size.
  • Image adjustments: correct exposure, contrast, saturation, temperature, tint and red balance, or switch to black and white, on the crop screen before simulating.
  • Annotations: reshape any drawing by its handles.
  • Drag and drop: drop a photo anywhere on the window to open it.

Version 2.0

  • A new Windows version, rebuilt from the ground up for modern hardware and current practice. The website was rebuilt too, and the software is now aimed exclusively at plastic surgery professionals.
