Ethnic rhinoplasty simulation that respects the patient's features

Narrow the alar base, refine the bridge and adjust the tip while keeping the patient's skin tone, texture and lighting exactly as photographed. Ideal for discussing a natural, ethnically consistent result.

How it is done

Ethnic rhinoplasty in three steps

  1. Narrow the alar base

A few clicks of Shrink narrow flared nostrils, treating each side separately. Work in small steps and compare often.

  2. Refine the bridge and tip

Short inward Push strokes from both sides narrow the bridge. A light Shrink on the tip refines it without changing its character.

  3. Check symmetry

Use Ratio to compare left and right distances to the midline, with one side as the reference, then review the result in the Comparison tab.

Tips from practice

  • Small changes read as natural. Show two or three intensities and let the patient choose.
  • Keep the comparison at the same zoom so the patient judges proportion, not image size.
  • Use Comparison to show original and simulation side by side, and Animate to morph between them.

Questions

Ethnic rhinoplasty simulation: questions

Does the simulation change the patient's skin tone?

No. Reshaping only moves what is already in the photograph, so the patient's skin tone, texture and lighting are preserved.

Does reshaping change the patient's skin texture?

Reshaping moves the photograph's own skin instead of painting new skin, so pores, freckles, lighting and skin texture stay those of the patient. The original photograph is never modified: it stays one click away in the Original and Comparison tabs.
